Miller Announces Nearly $900,000 for School Safety Improvements

HARRISBURG – Rep. Brett Miller (R-East Hempfield) announced the school districts in the 41st Legislative District will be receiving nearly $900,000 to make learning environments safer and provide behavioral health support for students and staff.
The grants were approved through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) School Safety and Security Committee.
“This grant funding helps make the schools even better by strengthening school safety and ensuring our learning environments remain secure for everyone,” Miller said.
The total amount awarded to each school district is as follows:
• Columbia Borough School District $159,465
• Hempfield School District $388,224
• Penn Manor School District $328,012
The PCCD’s School Safety and Security Committee administers programs designed to improve school safety and security, strengthen behavioral health supports, and provide training and technical assistance to schools across Pennsylvania.
