Miller Invites Residents to Free Concealed Carry Seminar
LANCASTER – Rep. Brett Miller (R-East Hempfield) is hosting a concealed carry seminar that residents may attend at no charge. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center, 101 Champ Blvd., near Manheim.

During the seminar, residents will learn about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws and how the Castle Doctrine affects the rights of a gun owner.

“There can be a lot of misconceptions about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws. The purpose of this class is to give people the facts about the laws, and explain their rights and responsibilities,” Miller said. “We will have a great lineup of very knowledgeable speakers, and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.”

The seminar will offer two main topics. Mark D. Fetterman, assistant district attorney with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office will provide an update on concealed carry laws. Representatives from the East Hempfield Township police department and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s office will present on how to safely interact with the police while carrying.

While there is no cost to attend the seminar, residents must RSVP to attend. Space is limited, so residents who wish to attend are encouraged to go to Miller’s website at to sign up now. Reservations can also be made by calling Miller’s district office at (717) 295-5050.
